The rapper "DMX" has a previous conviction for animal cruelty for neglecting his 13 ( !! ) pitbulls in 2002, he apparently has continued the type of treatment.
There's a picture slide show in the news article that's worth viewing. http://www.kpho.com/news/13970298/detail.html#
A note to thugs, if you're going to abuse animals, Keeping a half pound of narcotics and guns in your home doesn't seem very wise....

Yup, i saw this few days ago.
I did try and keep a objective view about this considering he had care takers. But then i found out he has only had the care takers the last few weeks. And it seems the animals have been starved for at least a few months.

It's way past time that we stopped treating animal cruelty as some kind of "boys will be boys" pranks. It's also time to stop treating celebrities as something special who don't have to face the consequences of their actions.
This guy should have the book thrown at him and do prison time.
I think there should be a record kept for people who have animal abuse or neglect should no longer be able to own pets.
The guy that my Chow Chow was seized from did get a 10 year ban from owning another dog as part of his sentence. The director of the humane society that I got her thru said they heard rumors that he had gotten another dog but they were never able to catch him with one and believe me if that lady heard there was another dog there she would check it out.
