Katie O'Connor Webboard User Reg: 01-09-2007 Posts: 556 Loc: Upstate NY Offline	I am guessing yes they have been scanned for micro chips as one ended up in a local shelter and the other was brought to a veterinary hospital -- no injuries though that I know of. I think they were found in the same general area but at different times by different people -- so that is how they ended up taken to different locations. A friend went to see the one at the shelter and has offered to take the dog if it is not claimed. No one seems to know how to trace the tattoos of these dogs. I would imagine if someone cared enough to have them tattooed that they would be terribly missing them at this point. Just doesn't seem to me to be a case of stray or abandoned dog/s. Apparently the veterinary hospital neutered the one brought to them within the first 24 hours which is really aggravating me too. My GSD, I know, was tattooed in a manner specific to a particular registry. Cindy may be able to give you some hints. E-mail or call her with the info. That tat scheme may make some sense to her.
