Okay, today I went to the local feed store to buy some Chicken Soup dog food for those times when I'm unable to raw feed. Instead I found a new dog food that is apparently made by the same makers as Chicken Soup. It's called A Taste of the Wild. It's brand new and completely grain free!! Check it out! Also, my Mr. Picky (aka Levi) I'm not going to eat it if it isn't raw, likes it!! The sales lady said it's selling like hotcakes! Check it out, peeps! http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/
okay, as with all things glorious, on occasion there must be a drawback. I've seemed to have found it. I purchased the Bison/Venison and the Smoked Salmon varieties of this non grain dog food and wouldn't you know both varieties SMELL just like what they claim to BE. There is no doubt when you put your nose in the first that you are absorbing the aroma of a most smelly, high plains buffalo! The second smells like fresh salmon kill! This translates to certain dogs' breath
Anybody know of a good doggie breath mint?
Ah, the price we pay for good nutrition, lol!

Edit reason: lost half the post..
On the good side of the drawback, though, (what'd I just say???) dogs usually just LLLOOOVVVEEE smelly food. I know mine adore sardines. Hee Hee Hee.
I'll be on the lookout for this brand out here in MO. Thanks for telling us about it.

Edit reason: Added some stuff
I just talked with a Missouri distributor. He said the retail price is $39.99 for a 30 lb bag. Pet Connection and Pet Land in St. Louis have it and Award Pet Supply in Columbia will probably be getting it soon.
I go to Awards about once a month, I'm about 45 minutes away from Columbia. What a coincidence...
30 pounds would probably last me for an entire year, maybe longer. I don't give kibble much, and my guys are small, but I like to keep it on hand. They like the crunchies now and again, and, given one at a time, they think the kibbies are treats. Well, I guess they are, kinda. Thanks, Debbie!
