It sucks that @holes like that take advantage of people......She was willing to give her car and the guys still took it....unbelievable man....how can they sleep at night!
I'm wondering why the dog disappeared from the front yard. Did this guy take the dog to start with?
Anyone with any kind of good character would not have taken her car, or her dog.
At least she kept her word and handed over the car.
Yeah, while I would NEVER take someone's car for returning their pet, I would absolutely give up ANYTHING to get mine back (well, most of 'em, lol). I had a boss when I was a teenager who always used to say "It's only money" and "if all you have are money problems then you don't have any problems at all." I must admit that I agree, and I have spent quite a bit of money recovering a cat of mine who got lost. If I thought she'd been stolen or that someone had her, I'd have done the same thing. If it was one of my dogs likely to have been stolen...hell, I'd probably give them the house. Probably not the smartest move, but I am not so rational sometimes when it comes to my babies.
Nice story. Good to see that not everyone sees animals as replaceable.
Setting up a sting with car or house as lure would be fun, fun, fun. After phone call comes in from the a** who has the dog, have cops on the premises, press charges, keep dog, keep house, keep car, get rid of scumbag. The guy would obviously be a thief if he's willing to take someone's car or house, so no doubt he stole the dog too.
