I'm so thankful i talk to ya'll. I choose canidae I will be picking it up next week. Me and my husband think that is best for our pups and us we barely get by so we don't eat the raw food like on the other web pages. But i like the comments on the dried food. Thank ya'll. I'm also getting the training manuals and bag from the web page. Thank you so much.

I HIGHLY recommend that you get the dog salmon oil plus Vitamin E.
The Vitamin E is available anywhere and is not at all expensive, or you can order it here: http://www.leerburg.com/53.htm
The Vitamin E is needed by the dog's system to process the fish oil.
Fish oil is the most important of all supplements (IMO) because of the lack of long-chain Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids in modern farm meat (including the meat in commercial dog food AND the raw meat many of us feed).
I believe that all dogs need marine Omega 3s and that all dogs benefit in many ways from it: coat, skin, joints, eyes, brain, and an aid to avoiding all the inflammatory diseases like arthritis and diabetes (and dozens more).
The interesting thing you kept recommend salmon oil plus E, but I've heard a rumor that FDA doesn't inspect those vitnamin bottles. I can't remember where I've heard about it.

Hey Stephanie, don't let the cost be the reason you don't feed raw. Every premium kibble I've used cost between 1.90 to 2.10 a pound to feed. On a raw diet the most I've spent was 1.49 a pound for beef heart. The fish oil, vitamin e,c and any other supplements add a little bit but not that much. Most of the time you can get things cheap enough it will surprise you.

Fish oil is not a vitamin. It's a food (a fat). Like olive oil, or flax oil, or corn oil .....
I will try. But I spend about 40 Dollars a month on my pets. Unless they go to doc. But i try to feed them right. My pets have more toys then i ever had in life. I did not really understand to web pages. Either they have been on dry food for a while but from what I'm finding out it not that food my dogs are my life and i also take care of my mother. But i will try to understand it better but. I love them if some one can give me a better ex. Than please do these are my first dogs to raise alone just moved out with my husband and got one at 5 weeks. Who is now 8 months. Also have a 4 week old who is doing very well on wet food but still on formula to most of the time intro to him slowly over 2 weeks

Also, I always remind people of the reduction in vet costs.
I can save you a ton in vet costs right now. Omega 3's from fish oil is the long term treatment for almost everything that affects skin and coat. ( I know thats a pretty broad generalisation, but it sure seems that way.)

Food is much more important than an assortment of toys.
I would start with the Canidae and the fish oil (plus a vitamin E a day).
In a few weeks you will understand what is meant by an all-natural diet. In the meantime, you will be using a good kibble (a big step up) plus the big advantage of Omega 3s from fish oil.
You may decide to go raw after you have read up on it.
