My 3 mo old pup has had one ear up (or should I say "up and in" towards the center of his head) for a while now. His other ear hasn't stood up yet, it's about 1/2 flopped over all the time (it's up at the base of the ear, if that makes sense). Is that common? How long can that one ear stay down before I need to worry? Thanks!
That's my pup at about 4 months old. One ear up, the other down. By around 5 months old I asked the vet to show me how to tape up his floppy ear. I taped it for 3 or 4 days and it stayed up. His ears were like a teepee on his head. By 6.5 months old they were both strongly upright.
Not sure what the officlal timeline is, but 3 months old for a floppy ear is common.
Oh my gosh, when did you take that pic of Lear? They are surely twins.
Almost 4 years ago. He lived w/me in a previous life.

Jenni, you still have those precious pups, now dogs, with you, right? Is that you in the picture with Xander?
I have Xander, who is the sable male...and not so precious, lol. Xoey (the little bicolor-looking girl) is with my aunt and Xora (with Xander in the 7wk pic) lives w/a local cop. The others all went to LE homes, although they're not working yet of course...we shall see how they turn out. Yeah, that was me with Xander at 11 wks. Couldn't find one w/out me in it. I took a pic of him every week from 4 weeks on until he was about 5 mos, and now I do it every few months.

Between us all posting pics of puppies, I'm having puppy temptation.
