I read that THK doesnt contain bones, yet bones should be fed with THK. Im assuming chicken necks and backs are ok to toss in?? my pup is about 25-30lbs and I feed him 1 cup THK in the morning and 1 in the evening. unfortunately, I still had some kibble left and feed a small portion of that in the afternoon (making 3 meals a day). obviously THK is NOT cheap..lol. should I change his afternoon meal to chicken necks and backs for now and move to wings later?

What exactly are you reading?
Yes, THK (and I am referring here to the fully-balanced versions with meat) can be used with added meat or RMBs. The directions are on the package for the amount you can add safely without making sure that what you add is not also balanced (in phosphorous and calcium).

I will add too, that THK can even be used as a smaller part of the diet, like a gravy (or "side," if you like), as long as the remaining diet is balanced.
And yes, backs and necks are, IMO, a good thing to use with THK. :>
I read up on some old posts. what if I were to use my Embark with the necks and backs on a steady basis? of course offering variety after my pup gets used to the RMBs.
Im thinking 1/2 cup Embark and little portion of necks 3 times a day perhaps?

Because necks and backs (particularly meaty backs, IMO) are pretty balanced themselves, yes, I'd feel fine doing that.
(If you exceed the amount of "add-ins" on the package, again, then what you are adding must be balanced. So you'll be making sure that the backs are meaty or that they are supplemented with a little muscle meat, and you'll do the 5-10% organ meat..... In other words, THK would become one of the ingredients in a diet that's balanced with it or without it, and the THK will be a nice instrument to add variety.)
sounds good. I am just concerned because like a lot of people, RAW is new to me. I guess I could pick up more necks and backs and stretch the Embark...hehe

ok..I got Kingston on 1 cup of Embark in the am, then half a cup in the after noon, and half a cup with about 4oz neck and backs in the pm. should I toss another neck/back with his afternoon meal?
