I am interested in purchasing a german bloodline GSD for SchH training in the future. I've read a lot of articles on this site including the "Can I Train My Own Dog in Bite Work" which discusses the different drives that dogs have. However, how do you know the puppy you may want to purchase will have that fight drive? Is there anything you look for in the parents if you cannot see them on the field? I guess my question is, how can you identify fight drive in the parents?
I have never once owned a purebred dog (only rescues), so before I start looking for a breeder, I want to make sure I try to do everything right and get as many questions answered as possible before I start my (formal) search.
If anyone could give me a few tips on identifying fight drives and/or what else to look for in a breeder regarding a SchH dog, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

QUOTE: The first 45 minutes of this tape deals with instincts and drives to look for in a puppy that you wish to start this training with. If you are not sure what we mean when we discuss good temperament, good nerves, and good drive then you can learn from the beginning of this video. END
