Man, my Chaos, just can't win these days!!!!!! So I get home today and let the dogs out to go potty. I always kind of watch to make sure the 2 don't start scrapping. Chaos is out their doing his business and looks like he's having a hard time. He finally goes, and then starts licking back there right away! I call them all in side, and corral him to get a look at what is upsetting him. I lift his tail, and around it's swollen and red almost like a cyst kind of. It's around 4:45 when I find this. I called my vet asap and talked to them to see what they have to say. They had me run in and get a cone so I can stop him from messing with it until I can get him in tomorrow. They also told me to put very warm compresses on it every hour or 2, and that it will make it feel better. I did it right after I got home, and then asked my husband to do it while I was gone for a few hours tonight. Wellll, I get home, and lift his tail to get a look and it almost looks like it has been bleeding somewhat! I asked my husband if he had done what I asked and he said yes, once! I feel so bad for Chaos. Nothing is going his way. I wish we could go at least a while without something going wrong with him!!!!!! I am going to crate him while I'm at work tomorrow. I'm getting off early to get him to the vet. Any suggestions to make him more comfortable??? Man I feel bad for him.

You can use a soft cone so he can lie down more comfortably. You can fast him for now, except for plenty of fluid (of course) so he might not have to poop before the vet visit.
You can call the vet and ask what ointment you can apply (since he can't lick at it with the cone) to ease the irritation.
So far this is the first time it's happened. I wish the groomer would have NEVER done them in the first place. I had not idea she was until I saw her do it. If there was no problem, why mess with it! I will not give him food in the morning before I go to work. It won't hurt him to miss one meal! I hope they can help him tomorrow.

Yes, my groomer cleaned them out. I had no idea she was even doing it until I saw her do it that day. No he hadn't been scooting or anything. She stuck him in the tub, and he put his nose down there and she said ohhhh ok ok, and cleaned them out. He whined a sec and then she bathed him. Now I have noticed him messing with him self a lot lately! Then I find this! Poor guy.

I would be having a discussion with her as soon as your done at the vet.
IMHO, she should have asked permission first and IMHO, she had no business doing it in the first place. Dogs and their anal sacs are usually just peachy if they are left to themselves.

Yes I plan on talking with her about it and letting her know that we had no problem what so ever until she did it. I'm not a happy camper right now. I thought that you usually only did them on smaller dogs? I didn't think that GSD's and some other breeds even had them done.

I know you know this....but make sure to discuss what she did with your vet. This way you will have "ammo" when you go and talk with her.
I do not blame you for being unhappy and I really hope Chaos feels better soon. Poor guy...
I was just sitting here wondering if something like Preparation H wouldn't help him, it has to be like one hell of a hemorrhoid??? But I would ask your vet (or maybe call an emergency service or something)

You are correct. It's uncommon in large breeds -- very common in small breeds.
