Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since last time was here. But it's very nice to see this forum is still hot!
My friend is taking care of my dex (1.5 yr old) for quite a long time. These days he refuses to eat. Actually it's been 3 or 4 days, he did eat much at all. Yesterday when i saw him, I was shocked. He is so skinny right now, not eating anything (my friend changed lots different kinda food), but he still running around with two other dogs on the farm.
And friend also told me dex is having a little diarrhea problem. Can anybody tell me why? worms maybe?

What does the vet say? A dog who is not eating to the point of dropping weight needs the vet.
There are too many possibilities. I would get a fecal sample and get it and the dog to the vet.
I'm sorry but you haven't given us enough information to make a diagnosis.
Take the dog and a stool sample to the vet. I see that Connie already beat me to it.
What has the dog been eating?
Has he been dewormed lately? With what drug?
how do you force him to drink? what i do is im taking him for fast walk, and he becomes thirsty and then he drinks. im not sure if there are any other better ways.

Hi Debbie, he's been eating regular dog food. And dex usually takes shot and gets dewormed every Nov. The pharmacy ppl call the shot four-way shot, and the deworm pill is white. The pills are from the vet last time dex had diarrhea (about 8 months ago).
I'll go to the farm and watch him closely tonight.
thanks again (Connie & Debbie) for your advices.

If he is drinking on his own, that's fine. Otherwise you can stir in some no-salt broth (or make some by simmering some white chicken in water, cooling it, and giving that).
