Hey Gang,
Well I should finally get around to introducing my GSD pup, Macy. She's 7 months old, great prey drive, and gaining confidence daily. When we brought her home she was pretty skittish, I'm happy to report that she is now inquisitive and direct, handles loud noises very well, puts up with toddlers, and jumps wayy too much. She tests the limits on a daily basis. She loves obedience, and I'm working her very slowly. She gets on the tug and won't let go, she learned that the out wasn't as fun as the tug (despite the reward being stinky sausages) and she's a holy terror when she thinks she's got the upper hand.
If I can convince my wife to be around her, I'll get a picture of her destroying something and add it a bit later. Mean time, here's one of her most common poses. I call it, "Preperation for a counter surf".
David, she's a BEAUTY!!!
What a gorgeous expressive face she has. Lovely pigment too.
She sounds like a little angel, she must be lots of fun
How old was she when you got her?
Hah, I hear ya on the monster-pup issue. I have a hard time convincing my family how sweet my 8-month-old Aja actually is. All they see when they look at her are teeth, claws and a tornado of destruction
Welcome, I hope Macy's feeling better! She looks great in that pic.

Yeah. My wife actually won't handle her (which is pretty much exactly how it needs to be, right now). All she sees are the six foot high jumps and enormous teeth. Of course, after we do our workout and take a nice walk she loves a bellyrub as much as any golden retriever I've ever met. Until she catches her breath. Then it's pretty much back to the reign of terror. Whew!
Waaaaiiiiit a minute. She won't handle the dog she made you get??? You wanted a working line, got stuck w/a hybrid (not that she's not a great little hybrid...) and now she won't handle her? Where do I find a guy like you?

Hahaha. I may be single! No, I'm totally joking.
I got lucky with Macy, she's great. Not a top end working dog, but definitely enough of what I want to cut my teeth on. My next one WILL be Czech. Period. By that time I'll have trained Macy and a few kids, so I should be pretty sharp. Can you use the prong on kids, or is that frowned on? :|
