Hey all. I've only been on this forum for a short time and I am already leaving it and heading over to another forum. From what I can see, just about EVERY post that is worth reading, gets locked? You all want to stick with JUST training post? Some people want to have a little fun once in a while, OR have a question they would like your opinion on and ALL they get is Let's stick to training! Don't post that kind of stuff any more! So I guess because I don't schutzhund train my dog, I shouldn't be here! I enjoy my dogs and like to talk about them. I cannot do that here, so I guess I will go elsewhere. Have fun, if that's what you call it, lol. Later!

Can we lock this? It's clearly not about training.

If you want to have fun try here .. http://www.comedycentral.com ..
I understand that this is dog training forum they don't just deal with Shutzhund like you say. I think you are missing a whole boatful of knowledge and the point of why the owner put this forum here. All the best over at your new fun forum

There are plenty of forums for doggy chit chat, and this isn't one of them. After you have been in the dog game for a while, you get tired of wading through endless threads about Fluffy's birthday and cute antics. Don't get me wrong, I love my dogs and love to talk about the cute things they do too but it really doesn't belong on this forum. FYI, doing schutzhund is in no way a requirement but I do believe you would be better suited to another forum with the attitude you project in this thread.
Leave if you want to, but starting a thread to 'announce' it is really unnecessary.
I'm sure Ed will be chiming in..........and then, David, it will be locked! LOL

What a sweet post - just gives me goose bumps.
There are plenty of forums where people can chit chat about fido - this aint one of them and never will be. If your mental capacity does not allow you to follow the context of a thread - hummmmmm well what can I say.
And if we lock a thread because it's pure unadulterated bull shit we do so based the experience of being about to recognize "PURE UNADULATERATED BULL SHIT IN DOG TRAINING" when we see it. (or it could be a bad case of male PMS)
Anna - when you leave - please step through the door quickly so it doesn hit you in the ass on the way out. We would not want it to interfear with your mental process and state of mind - or lack there of.
Ed

Geesh, Anna, I was under the impression that this is a learning forum and we DO have fun here.
The only thing that gets old is cutesy dog stories that we all have and would like to share (and do share on other forums) but this is a training forum.
There are plenty of other forums to share non-related training or "Oh, doesn't Fluffy look cute in this outfit" stuff on.
I myself, find it refreshing not to have to wade through a ton of stuff to find my answers. I also find it refreshing that this board is FULL of serious dog handlers that know what they are talking about.
Some advice I have seen on other boards can actually be detrimental to your dogs. That is pretty scary to me.
I wish you would stay, but if you feel that we are too "stuffy" for you, maybe it is best.
Take care.
(I would have used the word bullshit as well but was not sure if it was appropriate. Thanks for saying it Ed, and say it well you did.... )

Well Anna, you must mean you're going to the health forum of the Leerburg site. I don't remember any of your threads being locked here when you were having trouble with Chaos......for health reasons. Everyone here pitched in to help the best we could from afar. And speaking for myself I wrestled with some of Chaos' problems longer then I should have, because something else in my life suffered for lapses of attention.
Hope Chaos is doing well, now and in the future. Check back once in awhile, we have fun.
Watch carefully the bridges you burn in this life my friend.

Kudos Ed for saying it the way it is -- LMAO.
What I have learned on this forum is priceless. I like the fact it's not weighted down with frivolous BS of fido stories or insults to other posters. Dogs come first here.
