Hi Folks. This is my first post, but not my first time on this site. I've been sceretly gleening for awhile (an anonymous user).
Does anyone here have comments on Abady Feed out of New York? Thanks
Yes I actually feed their food. I have used the granular and currently feed the all star kibble to my kibble fed dogs.
I also use their pre-made raw to supplement my own.
What were you looking for? As an FYI the last time I checked it was on the Leerburg list of good dog foods. His website is probably the most primative thing you will see ever. Limited to no information reguarding his food.
Which product of his are you looking at he has a dozen different ones?
Do you feed raw now or kibble? I have both types of dog at my house so I have experience with both.
IMO his raw is to pricey to feed all the time although I used to. Not that the kibble I feed from him is cheap at $45 for 20 lbs....but hey their worth it.
Any processed cooked food is gonna loose out vs. an all raw diet.
Carnivors are not intended to eat cooked, processed food IMHO.
I see that the kibbles are grain free, that is good. I am unsure of what to make of a lot of the ingredients at a quick glance.
The commercial raw is interesting. I have never seen "beef meal" (a cooked product), included in commercial raw diets before, but my experience is limited.
I'm not sure I'd trust this company. Did you read the links? They are trying to make this food sound like Carter's Little Pills... good for what ails ya. Some of the health problems they are blaming on foods and not genetics is just a bit much.

Mmmmm, I am reading it now. What frustrates me is that I cannot see where to find a list of ingredients....it started out okay, and if I had to I would use it......but there are some things I do not agree with, now that I have been surfing it for a bit.....,..
But, I am good with the diet I am using now, real good in fact.

I have two collies, both on Abady. The puppy is on Large Breed Puppy and the 1 and 1/2 year old is on Stress and Maintinence.
And another question about food... I boiled the Thanksgiving turkey carcass to make soup. Lots of veggies and meat stuff that looked good for dogs but too scrappy for us. I gave each dog a nice scoop (no Bones) with their normal food. By morning I was really sorry. What went wrong there?
