Nice weather, nice field, nice club, and Shelly taking photos - you can't beat that, folks!

Whew! The trial is over, the weather (mostly) cooperated, and Shelly's photos should be posted soon. In the meantime, I'm happy to report we had a successful trial with 9 BHs passing out of 12 entries, a new Sch 1 (Wonder vom Haus Miller - "Parek" :grin, a new Sch 2 (Jason McNew's Gunnar vom Ruffhaus - "Gage"), and 2 repeat Sch 3s. Included was an almost perfect (98) performance by Daryl Bowden's "Dex" on a verrrrry long and difficult Sch 3 track, and V performances by Jason's "Kane" in Sch 3 obedience and protection. SV judge Dieter Dust was tough but fair, and we really appreciated his constructive critiques.

Our club had fun, learned a lot, and had some terrific volunteer work by our members. Special thanks to Art Lavely and Mike Rivers for their excellent decoy work, to Jason for his excellent grounds, to Janis Skeath and Karen Chadwick for rescuing our paperwork, and to Margret Nolan for her excellent cooking.

Look for another trial at Iron Dog this fall!

It has been a pretty active two weeks for Schutzhund in North Central Florida, that is for sure.
"Buffolo Bill" Jason Mcknew was very busy this past weekend earning his BH, Sch2 and a repeat of his Sch3; and found the time to take care of going to the dump in between it all! "I'm done"!!!
Wendy Hines earned two BH's inspite of only training Schutzhund for the past 5 months or so, and a little bit a few years ago; way to go Wendy! Anita did a very nice job in the Sch 1.
To the entered "Hoover", Darell Bowden's dog tracked a super laid track through a rock garden in the middle of a horse pasture and did it like it was a walk in the park, although I think the judge was thinking he was watching an FH!!! In fact I know.
To Art who has been training since around Aug. driving to Gainsville 3 times a week at times to train with me and then on Sat. to Iron Dog, my hat is off to you. It was fun working the trial with you and I hope I am invited back to do it again. And your dog's hold and bark is looking super, you are off on the right foot. We will start blinds soon. I e-mailed you my friend. Get back to me.
