I have a 22 week old puppy and have been feeding him raw for almost a month now (love it!!). I have been giving him salmon oil and vit. E, and some probiotics but I want to add a bit of vit. C now and am wondering if the regular human ones are fine (it's good for us too!)? Or do I have to buy supplements at the specialty pet food store? I also want to give him some kelp/alfalfa as suggested on this site and am wondering if I can just give him some sprouts like we eat at home?
Thanks!
Melanie, you can feed human vit C tablets but if you do, you should go with Ester C (my opinion), it's easy on the stomach. You'll have to enclose the tablet in some raw food or piece of cream cheese or such, and hopefully your dog will just gulp it down without picking the stuff off from the tablet.
