I went to a new Vet yesterday for Pups first check-up, i was impressed with the fact that they were going to give separate vaccines for Parvo and Distemper even before I even asked and that they routinely give Thuja with vaccines to combat reactions.

They were also supportive of a Raw diet and sold Innova and Solid Gold rather than science diet in their waiting room.

They were gentle and took time to explain every medicine and issue with me without acting like i was a ninny.

then to top it all off they called this morning to check on him and make sure he didnt have any Vaccine reactions or medication reactions.

What a difference!

At one point I took Nico to a vet who insisted that I was crazy and in no way could steroids cause severe reactions in a dog. My usual vet is convinced Raw is killing her; he is always saying how much better her coat looks but who knows what its doing to her insides!

So persistence and patience pays off, and this time i dont have to drive 2 hours to take the dogs to a vet that i actually like!!

Oh and for 2 vaccinations, 3 different fecals, 3 different medications, a CBC, and thorough exam it was $195, and they sent me home with a leash, two months of interceptor and a nice coupon for more. I thought it was pretty reasonable!

They also called again this afternoon to make sure he was doing well with his shots and the medicine. Im highly impressed
