Many people keep feeding twice a day throughout the dogs life.
I personally start feeding once a day at 10 months old.
If you mean adulthood in terms of kibbles that sell different adult food vs. puppy food, my pups eat Adult food from the brand "Orijen" regardless of age. In terms of raw, I think you can dial back the puppy feeding quantity to adult quantity around 10-12 months. How fat or skinny the dog is, is the sure way to tell if you are feeding too much or too little.
If you mean in terms of maturity. Dogs mature between 2 and 3 years old.

I feed all adults twice a day. From pups to 5 mos, I feed three. Then wean them to two.
I never had fed just once a day, unless I was out on a fire or on EMS call.
Adulthood? It depends on the dog, breed, sire/dam ect... IMHO.
Some dogs can be slower to mature than others and some can behave like adults at an early age.
Standard answer would be between 18 months and 3 years maybe.....

It is my understanding that feeding at least twice/three times per day is much healthier for the dog than once per day. First, like with humans it helps the metabolism. Second, 2 smaller meals are easier on the dog than one large meal and *may* decrease risk of gastric torsion. Plus, from a purely psychological standpoint, I wouldn't do it to myself so have a hard time feeding my dog only once per day
I stopped feeding three meals a day around 7 months...right when my pup lost interest in the middle meal of the day. I continue to feed two meals a day to my German Shepherds, but my Cairn Terrier eats only an evening meal and a treat in the morning.
I agree with Julie. I also have a Beagle, and used to feed him once a day. He started throwing up vile in the middle of the night. Some here suggested to start feeding him more often and those issues stopped.
I feed three meals a day during the intense growth period, when that stops we level off to two meals a day.
My coonhound/dane/lab mix female is going on 12, she didnt full mature until around 5.
My black/mouth cur/coonhound is 2 and he is oh so very much puppy most days and i dont see that changing for some time.
My Husky on the other hand who is despite being bigger than Loki was really pretty mature at 11 months compared to what i would expect.
But i think hounds may take longer to mentally mature in general, and sometimes if ever!
