Any one have any input on this? I was told to go to walmart and buy what they had for my dog, by a breeder. There is one with 7 enzymes in it. Will this work? If it doesn't actually help alot, it won't hurt, right?
While we are talking about digestive enzimes, I read somewhere that they are not necessary on a regular basis unless your dog is sick. Is this true or is it good habit to just give them on a regular basis ? What do you all think ????
Since I asked the original question it is obvious I'm not a digestive enzyme expert. So take this FWIW.(not alot)
I would think that if a dog was not having problems digesting then it wouldn't be necessary. That said, I think some here do use them regularly.
I was wanting to try them because my senior dalmatian was having trouble switching to raw. 13 years on grain. I'm hoping that it will give her some help getting her own meat protein and fat digestive enzymes goin'. Thats my logic, anyways. I have never used them before, so don't really know what to expect.

Yes, ditto; I think it's probably a good idea when you're starting a dog on raw.
Once those bone-digesting enzymes get going normally, then I just use probiotics (like maybe plain no-sugar live-culture yogurt, or capsules, or both).
