Hi everyone I have a 13 week old GSD, and recently switched him over to a raw diet. He had some diarrhea at first but got over it. He is about 28-30lbs now, and I'm feeding him 7% of his body weight divided into 3 meals. When I started out I used only ground turkey, he liked it well and after a few days with the help of yogurt his diarrhea went away. Saturday I started adding chicken wings in the morning, and some celery in one of his later meals. It has started again, and tonight was very runny. He is drinking plenty of water, but for the first time he wasn't excited about eating and while still playful he is not himself. I accidently bought non-fat yogurt and added that to a couple of meals before I noticed. I bought some canned pumkin and added a little of that to his meal tonight, and also bought some more regular yogurt. I'm in the process of getting a book on raw, and ordering the other sugguested supplements to go with his food.
So I need a little help. Thanks in advance.

Non-fat yogurt isn't a problem (as long as it's plain).
How long since he had a normal formed poop?
"Not himself" --- exactly what does this mean? (I'm asking because you say "still playful.")
Any chance you might be overfeeding, which is a common diarrhea trigger?
Is the diarrhea pudding-like, or water-like?
For now, I'd fast him -- no more food tonight. That's good about the water; you want him hydrated. In the morning, if there has been no diarrhea, or a formed poop, you could try a *small* meal.
I'm leaning towards the possibility of maybe too much food at once because of the 7%. I understand that pups might need 7%, but also I think some need only 4 or 5%...... so that could be it.
So..... what do you mean about "not himself"? This will help to figure out if he has something else going on.
When I say not himself. He is usually bouncing around and very "mouthy". Tonight he is only "slightly mouthy" and isn't as rambunctious as normal, and is laying around more. His diarrhea went from pudding to very watery tonight. It was probably friday when he had his last formed poop, although after some diarrhea at lunch today the last bit was slightly solid, but very watery tonight. Overfeeding could be a possibility, but he usually inhales his food as soon as it is given to him.

Edit reason: left something out

I wish more people would get the books ahead of time, so they have a good idea of how to proceed and then have a reference handy when things don't go exactly right. Not trying to pick on you, but the books and education really should come first.
I also would NOT be worrying at all about supplements til you have a good grasp of how to feed the diet properly and your pup is having normal stools for a period of several weeks.
Personally, I feel that chicken wings are not the way to go when first adding bone to the diet. I would go with chicken breast with the bone intact or necks/backs. Wings seem to give a lot of dogs trouble unless they are adapted to the diet already.

I would not choose celery as the veggie of choice to add to his diet, it is very fibrous and not easily digested by people, much less dogs.
Did you cook and shred his celery or did he have it raw? The only raw whole veggies my pups get is carrots as chewies, and someitmes sweet potato spears if I happen to be making them for dinner that night. All other leafy greens, veggies or fruit go into the food processor or lightly steamed
Non fat yogurt should be fine as long as it is plain with no added sugar.
Honestly IMO a 13 week old pup with watery stools who is not acting himself or enthusiastic about eating needs to be taken to the doctor.
If it were my pup I would take him in first thing in the morning just to be on the safe side.
I would also think about some plain pedialyte tonight to make sure he isnt dehydrating.
Thanks Everyone for your quick responses. The celery was raw and diced. The yogurt is plain, and yes I should have bought the book first. If he isn't a little more chipper in the morning I'll take him to the vet. Also I'm going to cut back on the overall amount I'm feeding him and switch to breast and necks for my meaty bones as opposed to wings.
