I am looking for good bloodline Malinois puppy. However, there are too many options and I am lost. can anyone advise me the diff between Holland , U.S., Belgium & Europe Malinois.
Recently, someone recommended me a breeder who claimed the dog's sire is the son of the 1998 NVBK Cat 1 Champ Wolf v. Dupae's Kenneltje. Anyone can tell me what is this champ title as I can't find it on the web & how can I prove that it is really the VBBK Cat 1 Champ ?
ps, lastly, can anyone recommend me a reputable kennel that export malinois to Asia ?
Many Thanks

In Holland, from KNPV Bloodlines, the dogs are often unpapered, bigger, more muscular, and bred for the KNPV sport, where the police choose their dogs from. This however does not mean all KNPV dogs are suitable for police work. It's still just a sport, but the breeding goals are different and people don't care about papers, so a Malinois is likely not 100% malinois, there will be other stuff mixed in the lines, sometimes even German Shepherd, or Groenendal, or Tervuren, Dutch Shepherd etc.
In France, often the Malinois are smaller and more agile to compete well in French Ring, where the decoy has to make the dog miss the bite, so they breed for a quick agile dog that is less likely to miss the bite and scores better points. French Ring mal's are often very good lines, you just need to find the breeder that has the type of dog you are looking for.
All countries also breed for IPO/Schutzhund, and alot of the same lines so not very country specific. To me, many of the IPO Malinois are like an intense German Shepherd, they are being bred for different goals and not neccesarily a type of goal that appeals to me. There is nothing wrong with IPO or a dog bred from IPO lines, but it is just not for me.
To find a reputable kennel, take a vacation and visit some in person. I wouldn't buy a puppy sight unseen.

http://WWW.nvbk.org
for the champions since 1964 i think for the 3 categories cat 3 being the lowest and cat 1 being the highest. As for the value of this programme do a search on youtube, dailimotion etc for nvbk and or belgian ring and you'll have an idea.
I train and compete in NVBK and with the majority of dogs competing you can walk down a dark road without fear. They will protect you.
Greetings

Stanley what is the purpose of your dog? Is it for sport, police or personal protection ranchdog etc? Reason I am asking is that your question is pretty loaded and you can get as many answers as there is bloodlines and breeders.

I live in Belgium Malinois country and they are all belgian lines. Size somewhere around the max standardsize; mine is 68 cm
and weight is 32.5 kg without any fat on him. During the winter months it is a bit more. Personaly i prefer a dog that is smaller. Due to the heavy training we submit these dogs the extra size and weight adds extra stress on his joints and the risk for injuries mounts
Greetings

Geoff Empey,
It is for Sport purpose. I learn that French Mal is general smaller in size and more agile. This is what I preferred.
Besides high drive and good grip, good temperament is also the key requirement. Appreciate if someone can recommend me a good breeder.
Many Thanks

What do you consider good temperament? I've recently seen a bunch of really nice, smaller, athletic FR Mali's, but the ones I saw are really handler aggressive. The handlers are good handlers and can work with a dog like that, but its all about "what do you expect from the dog."
There's as many different temperaments as there are bloodlines, so now that you've decided you like the FR lines, now you need to find out WHICH FR lines.
