You can look up codified laws for the state and see what is there. If you know the City or Town, you can always call and ask a States Attorney what the laws are as well.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency enforces Tenn. law which forbids the keeping of a wild animal which includes everything from a box turtle up to a mountain lion wolf deer or bear . call any local office of TWRA to report a violation. violators are subject to fine , forfeiture of any vehicle used to illegally transport wildlife, and imprisonment. if you kill a deer on the road by hitting it with your truck, you cannot take the deer away for home butchering without getting TWRA approval. so i can't imagine TWRA would look kindly on someone harboring wolves for cross breeding .....

Caroline, I'm sure I speak for other members as well when I say that you are an invaluable source on this forum. Thanks for being here and for any and all input you have.

well gosh us retired people have to keep busy some ways besides training our dogs, eh ? i spent 30 years of my life trying to find out info for people and now it is only done for fun. thanks for your kind words..
Now for another unsolved puzzle -- Ed's search for the ' Leerburg' dog being registered with the Leerburg name though it is not Ed's Leerburg puppy. i do report that i ran a complete blank on trying to find the kennel that Ed is looking for. who is registering a dog with the name ' Mia Leerburg?' i was puzzled to learn that AKC registers the dog but does not provide any owner info. i traced back 'Mia Leerburg's' dog pedigree to learn that she has a Leerburg-named ancestor-- but who knows if that one is really a true Ed Leerburg dog?
thanks for the thanks and sorry for the off-topic muse..
