I just got off the phone with my sister and noticed my dog is not well/himself.
He is licking his lips, and outside he did a vary small dry heave in front of me, nothing came out. Holding tail low, mopy, does not want to be comforted. Looks uncomfortable.
Stomach feels tight/firm but not bloated, I have heard some stomach noises.
Gums normal.
Ate fine this morning, active and healthy on our morning walk, stool was normal....
I am supposed to be giving a presentation in an hr, but I am trying to get out of it as I don't want to leave him.
I have checked my yard front and back, don't see anything he could have gotten into...
Now that the snow is high he very occasionally hops into our front yard (has twice). I walked around the neighbourhood looking for anything he could have gotten into just in case...
Anything I should do for him other than watch him? Too early to call the vet? He seems uncomfortable.

He just got up and drank a bunch of water, wich is out of character, he barely drinks in the winter (raw fed), only if he has just gotten really warm usually...
oaky, google comes up with lots of bad things for increased thirst....
I will make sure the vet knows that the drinking is out of character.
I called him up, he responds well to me still, tried to feed him a treat (very small, pea size, just to see if he would eat it) He did, albeit grudgingly..went to drink a bit more water and lay back down.
I know I am in for a fun time with this vet, on the phone they already asked about his diet and if his vaccinations are up to date...
Could he have gotten into anything yesterday that would be manifesting problems today?
Has he had raisins? They can be toxic (kidney failure) in large quantities. I don't know if that will cause excessive thirst.
