Kai Von Leerbug (Shane/Leera) arrived the other day. He has super prey drive. He counters nicly with very full grips. He runs up to everyone and is not the least bit noise sensitive. I am sure that he will be a high point dog for me. Thank you Ed for your never ending pursuit in breeding the perfect working dogs!

Vince,
Glad to hear the good news of Kai. Have any pictures we can see? Sounds like you got yourself a good one.

Vince,
Glad ti here you got your puppy. Your still behind. Ora is comming, sitting, and starting to down and stand on commad. I finaly had to go to a tug because the towel was too small for her mouth to bite. She didn't think it was enough fun anymore. She was weighe to today and is now 15 pounds. She is almost bigger than the Mini.

I donno, Vince... He don't sound like no serious dog to me... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Too bad Richard is not into SchH. You guys could have a contest on who gets a BH first and we all could place bets...

Vince,
I have done no Schutzhund, none, zip, nada...
The SchIII GSD I had was titled by my first wife prior to my meeting her. She also put a CDX and TD on him, and the trained him for marajuana just to see if she could. I have no desire to train for Shcutzhund, mostly because I don't want to deal with the tracking. I also don't want to train 2 "styles" of bite work. I go for a rock hard, take em down and don't let them up, bite what you can and fight them tell they give up kind of dog. From what I have seen with the Schutznd trained dogs they are too willing to go with the aggitator while they are on. Besides I don't want to pay 2 trainers for the protection work.
I told you I am a functional kind of guy. If it isn't useful to me in my life, I don't want to train for it. I don't have time. I train obsticals for the confidence it gives the dogs, same with jumps, but I don't want to deal with competition retrieving scent discrimaination or tracking. It just isn't my thing.

Richard--
I would just like to take this opportunity to say that this is what certain other parties on the board seemed to be missing out on. Vince and I and quite a few other people here train for Schutzhund, but even though you are into PP "for real" you don't use your own point of view to make the rest of us feel like idiots, or like people who don't know how to train dogs. Hats off.

Pete,
I see the value in Schutzhund, I just don't want to do it. I don't do AKC obedience, French/Mondio Ring, and several other thngs for the same reason. I was glad to find NAPD since it provides the type of tests I am interested in without the things I am not. I don't think any training test is any better than any other (inspite of what the Schutzhund/GSD people around here think), they just look at different things.
