Just wanted to rant a bit. Wish people would keep their dogs on leash, or if off leash, under control.
Had another situation at a park (2 in 2 weeks). A different dog off leash and the owner didn't even try to call it back. This time, the dog was charging and wasn't a curious pup like the first one. Was able to keep myself between them and keep them from connecting. There is a leash law at the park and Sasha was on a long line with a prong. Just ticks me off that she had another bad experience that didn't have to happen. Have been making good progress with desensitizing her with other dogs. Needless to say, we won't be going back there for a while. It is a shame since this an area that we can go to let her play a bit with not a lot of other people around.
When I got home, found out from my wife that the owner told her that the dog is dog aggressive and has had the cops called on him numerous time. It wasn't like we were close and we came in contact by accident. This person should definitely get the Darwin award.
Sorry about this, but just had to get it off my chest.

I'd report it.
I always have my eyes peeled for off-leash dogs (or even dogs who are pulling their owners my way).
I just leave when I see strange dogs off leash or anything else that looks like a potential problem.... if it's on the street, I calmly change my route. If it's in a park, I leave.
We'll close this, since there are no training questions or pointers.....
