Last night my husband and I were watching Levi lick himself and my husband noticed something small and round on his testicle. I proceeded to examine it and it appears to be a small, large pea sized something inside his sack on top of his ball. It will move around independently inside. It is not attached to it. Any ideas what this might be??? Remember ball #2 never dropped.
There is no way to say over the net. You need to have him examined. Unlike myself or the other men on this forum, he is 3 times more likely to develope testicular cancer. On the other hand it could be nothing, but wouldnt you rather be sure?
I am waiting on a call back from my vet. Can I be so unlucky that my dog not only didn't drop a testicle, that he also could have a cancerous lump? Honestly people, I just don't know what I would do if anything happened to him.

Could it possibly be the previously undescended testicle? I saw pics on a web site once of neutering, and on the one where the dogs testicle was undescended, when they got it out is was very small compared to the other one. It hadn't developed at the same rate and was atrophied. But you would still need a vet to decide. Good Luck.
Talked to my vet today...I am taking Levi in on Wednesday morning. I'm hoping it's nothing. Should I get his hips done, you think, while I am at it? He's only 15 months and I don't intend to breed him, however I do have a hip guarantee from my breeder so if he did have bad hips I would want to follow through on that. Or should I wait until he is closer to two? Any advice?

On bigger dogs I and people I know normally have hips done prelim at 6 months and again at 24 or 25 months. It won't hurt anything but why pay twice twice when it's not long til you're ready for a OFA number?
