some of you may remember me, and some may not. I think its been over 12 months since i last posted, if its not then i rekon it would be getting close.
I just wanted to say to everyone, i apologies for getting some of you very steamed up, and i guess i did as well. This was not my intention at all, i merely came here for some advice and that was all.
I have gone back and read that some of the things i said were very confusing, and not sure what the point was that i was coming across with. ANYWAY!!!
I have been lurking around in the background for some time now and it has taken me all this time to read as much as i possibly can.
I have learned a great deal and am still learning to this very point.
The stud dog that i had planned to use didnt end up going ahead as i rang a reputable working dog breeder here in Aus and said it would be a partial thing to do. There was more involved but dont really want to go into details. He actually has a couple of Ed's dogs in his kennel.
I now train with this guy at the schutzhund club he is part of and in the process of getting a BH for my male shepherd.
So thankyou to all of you who decided that bashing me was not the way to go, and that taking me under your wings would be a much better idea. For a while there i was very unforgiving, but thought to my self that maybe some people here arent as bad as they seem.
Anyway enough of the sopy stuff, how is everyone else doing these days. Lets all get re-acquainted again?
bye for now

(AKA the contradictor)
There's no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.
Shan - I would be interested in knowing who this person is that has a couple of my dogs? Since I have never sold any of my dogs to anyone in Australia. Now this is not to say that the perosn didnt buy a Leerburg dog from someone and then import it. But I dont sell dogs to anyone outside of the US or Canada
Shan,
If I were a breeder, I would want to keep as close a watch on my prodigies stock and mine own name as much as possible.
And if as a fellow breeder I run across a claim of one sort or another, I'd let the third party know about said claim.
So you have done. However, I would go one step farther. I would think it only fair to also provide names and addresses so that said third party and claimee could work it out.
In short Shan, pm Ed the names and address of this mystery breeder. It's the only decent thing to do in my book.
Randy
What claim? Am I missing something? From what Shan said in her second post, there are only Leerburg dogs in the pedigrees; they are not actually "Leerburg dogs." Big distinction.
Jenni,
If it were my name. Yes. If nothing else, just to watch how it all works out. Maybe I'm strange.
If I was in Shans' position, it would be an opportunity to check some bonfides.
And besides, don't you think that pedigrees are a claim of a sort?
If I'm not learning, I'm not paying attention.
Randy
I am missing something then. I don't understand what "claim" you're talking about. She said it wasn't Kris K...so I'm lost as to what the "claim" is. I thought Ed was asking who the guy was b/c he doesn't sell dogs to other continents...and then Shan clarified that they weren't actually Leerburg dogs...just descendants. Like I said, I may be misunderstanding something...but that would be the difference between saying I have a z PS dog and saying I have a dog descended from z PS. If it doesn't have the kennel name, Ed didn't breed it. So, it's entirely possible that the guy just bought dogs from someone who bred a dog from Leerburg and then sold the pups overseas.
