Curious to know if there are any other dog-related forums you guys frequent. I go to a few, but I still like this one the best. Definitely the most level-headed people I've had the pleasure of talking to. Mostly because the other forums are very CLICKERS AND HEAD HALTERS ONLY, if you know what I mean =) (I hope this topic is allowed, I'm not advertising for other places; like I said, this board is my favorite)

I do go to a breed specific one also. It is a little more froo froo, fun, sharing pics, showing advice. More often than not, I end up giving advice based on what I have learned here. I also occasionally give links to this website, especially the RAW feeding sections.
That one is more for fun, here is where I come to learn.

I go to a breed specific one that, like Shody's, is more for fun and sharing pics, hunting and show brags, etc.
I also go to our breed rescue site when I have room for a foster. They post dogs there that are in shelters in danger of being euthanized or gassed, owner surrenders, or referrals from other rescue groups.

I belong to breed specific ones as well. Some are fluff which I don't visit all that often, but one is for hunting and field work, one is for agility, and one is for obedience. They are all quite active with some very knowledgable people on them.
I've been a member here for some time (mostly lurking :crazy and have really learned a lot!

I frequent only one other dog forum that focuses on protection dog training. And it's heavily populated by Leerbug forum folks, which is nice.
Other than that I'm on astrobiology forums in my spare time.
Most other dog forums allow posters to post under an alias, I dislike that intensely - if someone is afraid to post under their own name, I'm not going to take their opinion seriously.

i belong to a few other breed specific forums....i like the training aspect of this forum, and the playfulness of the others. Plus, they have a photo section, and a non-doggy conversation section(hint hint ed.....), they have monthly photo and video contests, neat things.
but hands down, this is the best training/nutrition forum.

I frequent two other forums. I don't like general forums or breed specific forums because of the politics involved and people have a tendency to be really snarky. I like training forums where the primary goal is learning and the passing of information, not bragging and advertising show bred litters

I belong to a couple other working/protection dog forums as well. Good info on all, and the others have forums for some chit chat too.
More often than not I am here though, as this one is where I learn a lot from and, I pop in on the others to see if there is anything of interest.
Have not found a specific breed forum that I like so I do not belong to anything like that.

I'm on one forum that is police canine only and must be a verified police officer to even view, one that is heavy working dog, (real name only), here and a pet board. Screen names can be used, however I use my own name. I started on that board only because of a discussion that trashed police trainers. You know how we are; making dogs do things they don't want to, that sort of mean things. I stayed primarily to give a different perspective other than timeouts, head halters and neutering everything that walks. That is irritates some of the posters is only an added benefit.
