Long ago, one of my cats had it, showing no signs, and gave it to all of us. Your granddaughter could have picked it up somewhere else....4 days seems awfully quick to show symptoms if she got it from your dogs this past Saturday. I would give your house a thorough once-over cleaning since she could give it to you or your dogs. True

It is very easy for them to get it at thier school, or daycare, or the playground. Last year there was practically an epidemic at the high school among the wrestling team. Body contact spreads it.
