I've been an avid reader of this forum for the past 3 months. Research, research and more research. I've learned a ton of great info that has turned my life and the life of my dog around.
I've got a 5yr old 135lb Rott that I rescued and he's been a handful. Very dog agressive and just a generally dominate dog. I'm a big guy myself so before I educated myself I just overpowered him when he got out of control. I never addressed the specific issues at hand because I knew NOTHING about what was going on. Things have changed. I bought the proper tools and learned how to use them on this site and he's WELL on the way to being more balanced and manageable. I've got a long way to go but I'm excited about it. As for now though......He's happier, I'm happier and my previously scared shitless nieghbors are happier....
