It seemed too rich for my dog when he was a pup, he got the runs everytime we tried it (wolf cub). It seems they use quality ingredients, and the dogs liked the taste. I think it is generally well regarded.
About 10 years ago or so, when I first read Pitcairn's Natural Pet Care (or whatever its' name is) I switched my dogs to Solid Gold.....2 months later my big male GSD started to bloat. I got him to the vet in time that he didn't end up needing surgery but I have been feeding home made food ever since.....buying from the grocery store and trying to learn how to balance the diet. The only other kibble I fed for a while was Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance..........which I supplememted with real food until I found this site and switched to raw. Totally and completely. I do not trust kibble.

I have not used their food, but I have used Solid Gold's "Concept-a-bitch" and it does seem to produce easier births, larger litters and healthier pups... however I have no scientific data... only comparisons with bitches who've whelped with and without it. My current bitch Ghira has been on it since she started her heat. She is 8 weeks along and has a large belly full of active pups! Proof is in the pudding I guess! We'll see in a few more days.

LOL guess I should have clarified that! It's not a food, it's a supplement. Smells like peppermint, smells good enough to make tea out of! Don't want kids though so not taking any chances!
Ingredients are:
Red Raspberry Leaves
Dried Seaweed Meal
Common Fennel
Lyseine
Wild Yam
Peppermint
Beta Carotene
Folic Acid
Again I don't have any scientific data, just know that the litters I did before using it had more problems than the ones since...
I also wondered why this topic was under Con Artist/Crooks :O

Ahhhh, that would make more sense to me.
