My older dog has a sensitive stomach I think), and after discovering this site I decided to incorporate THK into both my pup and older dog's diet and gradually switch to raw.
My pup loves THK, my older dog won't touch it. She went for a couple of days of not eating when I mixed it into her kibble (Canidae). She doesn't like the kibble much either. Finally, she would pick at it. I decided to feed the kibble in the a.m. and THK in the p.m.. She won't touch it and now devours the kibble as if she is so glad it doesn't have THK in it. Just great, now what? Now, I am wondering if she is just picky and not so much sensitive and throws up because her stomach is empty, because she won't eat. ? Maybe it is a combination of the two.
Should I just go to ground beef or chicken backs and try that with her?

My dog doesn't find THK particularly appetizing and he's a chow hound. I've only tried the Embark with him though. There's no need to transition with THK if your older dog doesn't like it. He'll eat it, but not with gusto.
You can start with ground beef - I would use the one with the least fat for now - chicken backs are good too but cut off the majority of the fat. You may even want to cut most of the skin off as well but that may not upset her tummy as much as the globs of fat that are sometimes attached to the backs.
You might even try raw chicken breasts or tenderloins without the bone if she objects to the bone, then transition from that to chicken backs and necks, then work you way up from there.

Thanks Sandy, I will try that.
I was hoping to keep one meal as THK to help me feel confident that they were getting the proper nutrients. I have the Thrive, it is for sensitive stomachs, is gluten free, and seemed to be the closest to the Embark in protein and fat content.
I think I will try another Kibble also since she won't eat THK, maybe I can find one she likes better. But, I will need to buy several to see what she likes best. I may go to the retailer with Ed's list in hand.

I don't think a week or so of just feeding one thing will have any negative effects nutrient wise. It shouldn't take longer than that if even that to introduce her to raw ground beef or (another thought) ground chicken or turkey. Once she accepts that, the parts with bones can be added in.
At any rate you should be adding in salmon oil and vit e and c, even to the kibble.

I am adding in the oils, I don't have the salmon, am giving her fish oil, until I can find salmon, (I need to get to the health food store) but am giving her vit e also, and a raw egg about every other day or two, yogurt a.m., and cottage cheese p.m. meals. She likes those okay.
Do you think ground chicken would be better than ground beef?

I believe ground chicken is easier on the digestive tract in the beginning. It's "lighter" than beef, if that makes sense. One of our nutritional experts like Connie can explain this better I'm sure, with more detail. Although if she eats the beef and prefers it at first, that's what I'd feed. Give her little meatball sizes - might help her rather than sticking her face into a glop of ground beef or chicken. I'd try anything with a finicky dog to get her started on raw. Even if I have to throw the little meatballs into some boiling water to cook the outside of them first, leaving the inside raw.
Once she finds out she loves it, no more semi-cooking anything - the sky's the limit
Edited to add: Ed sells Salmon Oil here on his site - http://www.leerburg.com/healthcare.htm

That's what I will do. Thanks so much!
Tonight she, Reba, is kind of coughing and throwing up little watery puddles. I gave her some kibble but she didn't eat it. Ugh. I wonder if it would help her to elevate her food and water bowls. Maybe not since she doesn't throw up right after she eats. I have managed to put some weight on her with the egg, yogurt, and cottage cheese, so she isn't underweight now.

I wonder if ginger would help her tummy? I could give her a ginger snap as treats.

If the puddles are watery and yellow (bile), it could mean that her stomach is empty....does she vomit after she eats?
My Dutch did not like THK Embark (turkey), he likes the Force and Thrive (chicken) and I mix it in with his meats.

Yes, her vomit is watery with bile. When she vomits it is almost always when her stomach is empty. She had a bowl of kibble right there but wouldn't eat it. That is what has me wondering if she is just really picky and doesn't like her food, then gets sick.
