Hi This is my forst time on this board. Thanks for having me. My husband and I just held a Roni Hoff seminar last weekend. Wow let me just say great job to Steve and Diane Joslin. What they learned in a few days was just amazing and Roni is just something else. We are planning to have a seminar in Massachusetts in September and anyone close to there should really consider attending if you need help with training your dog(s). It's been a week since the Las Vegas seminar and my husband and I are still in a state of WOW WOW WOW. Thanks Roni for everything. Robbie and Steve
Hi Robbie,
Welcome to the board! Glad to see you posting - we were busy yesterday working with our dogs so weren't on the computer all day!
I definitely second your suggestion that anyone who has a chance to attend Roni's seminar in September in Massachusetts should attend! WOW is right! You know how aggressive our Roxie was around other dogs (fear aggression). On Saturday we took Nickie to the vet for a nail trim and decided to take Roxie along for more socialization. Steve waited in the waiting room while I went to the exam room. He said that 4 people came in with their dogs and sat in the waiting room with him. Not even once did Roxie growl, hackle, bark or anything! He had her totally focused on him. The other people were very impressed (he told them that we had attended the seminar just a week ago).
Another cool thing that happened yesterday . . . you know how Nickie was fearful of jumping up on the window box and Roni worked with him to get him over that fear. . . well yesterday, we decided to take our pickup truck to the park with the dogs. Steve moved the driver's seat forward so that maybe Nickie would jump onto the floor of the back seat and then up onto the seat. I had treats ready, etc. etc. (He would never get into the truck back seat because it is such a high jump from the driveway). I opened the door and he never hesitated a second! He FLEW up onto the seat and then sat there grinning like he had loads of confidence.
That is another thing about taking any type of dog training - I can see that it has built both dogs' confidence by leaps and bounds!
So, thank you Roni, and also thank you Steve and Robbie for hosting the seminar! Besides that, it was lots of fun!

Great to hear all of this. I will be traveling to Roni's at the end of June to work with her for a few days.
I cannot wait to go, especially with all the good things I have been hearing and not to mention that I attended a Michael Ellis seminar last February and got to meet her and I am really interested in what she does and adding in that she is a super nice lady, this should be a great time.
Sounds like all I can do is benefit from my upcoming trip.

Carol,
Yes, Roni is a super nice lady! I wish she would post the 5 minute video of her working her dog Tobie that she showed us during the seminar. Awesome!
Hi Diane, Great job at the Vets office and the car. Robbie and I are so proud of you guys. That was a major accomplishment for Roxie in such a small and confined space with other dogs around.Lets not forget about Nikkie and how he's getting over his phobias. You and Steve have really pick up this training method real fast. Keep at it and I know that Roni and Jim are also proud of you as well. You two are truely Awesome. Steve
