Hi all, have a minor health concern looking for opinion. My 3 1/2 month old gsd pup as of friday evening started yelping when going poop. Not every time mind you. Once friday evening then was fine saturday then this am started hollering like a crazy. I checked him and wiped a little bit off his bum noticed he seemed a little swollen there. He calmed down fine and my delema is that he does not seem to be thrilled to eat. He did not want to eat saturday morning then finally decied he was hungry then did fine for the rest of the day but again this am he is not thrilled to eat. he knows when he eats he will have to go out and that seems to bother him. He will be seeing his doc in the morning im just wondering if anyone has any idea. My concern is that he ate something (he loves wood) that may be causing the problem. Thanks ahead for any thoughts. Tami.
Hi Carol thanks for responding, in the mornings his stool is normal hard but not to hard by afternoon is soft but not runny. Im thinking anal gland as well as this is not happening consitantly and mostly as the day wears on. His first poo of the morning seems to be fine its seems to be the soft ones that are bothering him. As for toys no all his toys are in good shape I check them regularly. I do live in and around lots of wood so a possible spinter. As I have him with me 24/7 I try to monitor everything that goes into his mouth, he as taken to bringing me in things he knows I will take away and giving them to me but..........one never knows just what he may chew up and swallow. As I said he will be going to see his doc Monday.
