Hello,
I'm hoping someone can suggest a quality chew toy for my big mouthed PitX. I do give her bullystick periodically, but they don't last very long.
I just purchased a Nyla bone, but noticed that the end was really shredded/flaked after not alot of chewing.
She is pretty "oral" in that she loves to chew stuff..not my sofa or anything like that! She will even occupy herself in the yard with a piece of wood or her orbi ball...running and tossing it in the air.
Aside from a rawbone, she has a sterilized beef bone that she will pull out of her crate and plopp down where I'm hanging just for a good chew.
BYW....my other dog cracked a molar on a raw bone, so I"m vigilant about their teeth. That is why I'm nervous 'bout the hard bone, but she loves to lay around and chew on it.
Thanks!!

Does she destroy Kongs? If not, try stuffing one with food and freezing it. That should provide her with some quality chew time.
These are excellent....just do not hit one with a riding lawnmower....
I was mowing yesterday and found the giant black one that I thought we lost....put a big dent in the door of the airplane hanger.....thank goodness the door was shut, or I would be explaining a dent in the Husky.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Thanks for those suggestions. I don't know why didn't think of the Kong for her. In fact I give one to my older dog, stuffed with frozen Peanut butter, while I take the PitX out to jog....Dahhhhhh.....problem solved. (She has not destroyed the kong.)

Where do you guys find bully sticks? I'm sure my dogs would love them.
Trader Joe's has twists -- two twined pieces. Ther are over $4, but they last a good time: weeks for a small dog and a half-day for a non-crazed big one.
Can I get them online? I'm with Linda... Nylabones don't seem to last very long, and those smoked beef bones make me nervous. And I don't want to give them rawhide.
They have rubber toys but don't seem interested. They do like the "fire hose" type toys, but those cost upwards of $10 each and only last an hour or two.

P.S. I rec'd a Leerburg shipment today. For under $30, including shipping, I bought literally hundreds of training treats, from Grizzly NuTreats (salmon, salmon bone powder, etc.) to Bravo dried liver to Zuke's minis in chicken and fish.
The Grizzly were what surprised me: They smell like good fish. Nothing old-fishy or smelly in any bad way at all. I kind of expected a strong odor that I would hate but the dogs would love, but no ... totally good smell.
The Zuke's are teeny-weeny and perfect for training treats and FST.
A toy that keeps Toni occupied for a long time is an everlasting fireplug stuffed with treats. You can stuff it and freeze it as well. I like the material they are made of. Toni has had her fireplug for months and it still looks new. The everlasting treat ball she has is over 3 years old. She will chew and scratch on it and I have never seen any pieces come off, though she has been known to destroy a Kong.
