Mike, I always love to read your posts. You have a very calm, clear-headed, insightful approach to dogs; I hope that as I mature as a handler I can develop your wisdom and outlook.
I am interested in fostering, especially after reading posts from the folks here who foster, but I will wait a few years until my 5 year old son is more mature and able to understand better the do's and don't's of having a foster dog in the house.

Ditto.
I always like Mike's posts, too.
My own fostering has a glitch in it somewhere, though; somehow the dogs have all stayed here.
Mike, what a potentially great avenue for this dog. He's lucky to have found you...
(and with any luck the pano will resolve and won't be a major issue)
I also foster. My problem is that I seem to have a difficult time finding homes. Maybe I am too attached to the dogs or just plain too picky, or don't know where to look. I don't know.
LOL. I even had trouble finding homes for a litter of pups. (And I kept one... heh)
One of my current fosters is Too Much Dog for me to handle. Unfortunately, he's also the one who's been here Forever. Poor guy. He is so deserving of a great home.
I think after my current two fosters find homes (if they ever do) I will be done fostering. It's been a roller coaster, but my favourite part is looking in the dog's eyes and knowing that it would not be alive if not for my efforts.
