Since a couple of you asked for feedback, I just want to say what a great video this is. Sasha loves the drive excercises and the time we spend together. Who would have thought a little ball on a string would do so much!
We are working on the focus part and trying to increase the time she will focus before releasing the ball. Mainly work in the back yard. If anyone was wondering, you don't need a lot of real estate for this. We kinda skipped around and were working on her down and stay at a park with excellent results, even with other dogs around which she does have an issue with.
Initially started out with letting her just play with the ball (fetch, tug, etc.), worked into the drive and then using it to work in some OB. Will keep on refining the OB part of this, but really need to work on her keeping focus without jumping for the ball. Have to work a bit on coming into my arms and holding the ball. She will actually bring it back to me and wait for me to tug or do the drive excercise.
When we worked on this, just took our time and let her tell me when she was ready for the next step. We had the video for about 1 month and I constantly go back and watch it and pick up something new each time.
Hope this helps someone out there.
Again, what a great video and thanks Ed for putting this together!
David, thank you for the update. I still haven't got the DVD yet; I'm waiting for that tax rebate to come through, and then I'll be placing my order for it!
