hi all, as some may know i now have a 3 month old puppy. i'm loving her...
when she first came home, honestly i was a bit dissapointed because she seemed to be such a punk. if i told her no for something she would run under a chair..with just verbal corrections...well now im seeing what i think is some aggresion towards me..at times she will try to jump up on me when i'm sitting down for some attention and if i push her down and say "no get down,,,or just push her down(not hard at all) she'll try it again and again and then she will sit there looking at me ears all perked up and kind of bark/growl at me..if i scream at her no again she will just continue to bark/growl at me....
another instance where she does this....about a week ago she tried to run into a corner to go to the bathroom, well i grabbed her up by the scruff telling her " no,,bathroom outside" carrying her outside and she will bark and growl, and if i still have my hand on her scruff she will turn her head and try to bite my hand..i just hold her there until she stops then i put her down outside to do her business.......
please let me know what is going on..i am not sure what to think....of course she is still in the puppy nipping stage but other than that she is not mean.....she knows sit and does it on command..she is not aggressive with her food bowl at all.....just with corrections she gets like that
..and to my surprise i found out if you blow on her she will freak out and bark at you and charge at you.......
do i have a little devil in the making here????
If your lucky you do have a LITTLE DEVIL. Just think if all she did was lay around with no motivation to do anything.
My pup is 4-1/2 months old, I've yet to scold her for doing anything. We try to not let her get into a situation where she needs correction.
3 months old, isn't it bliss, all the excitment they can and will cause.
Glad you found another pup.
does this sound like she is trying to test me or what??? i need opinions.. does this sound like a potentially aggressive dog? or am i reading too much into this and i should just wait and see what time tells me?
My pup is just staring to settle down, then I keep her kenneled(vanCamp)had suggested to someone on a previous post.
Just curious, what are her bloodlines.
I think she is just being a pup, maybe we should call it PUPPY DRIVE.
What do you think KAPITAN???

to be honest with you i'm not sure of the blood lines..i have no knowledge of the different blood lines. her mom is a top show line dog and the father is a working k9 for the local police dept..i will find out though as far as specifics with the blood lines
Sounds like a good opportunity to teach the bark command. It's a pain in the ass trying to teach a young dog to bark that has been kept quiet in a crate or apartment for a year. Since you now know what makes her bark, label it.
She sounds perfectly normal, and yes she is testing you! I would not read it as aggressiveness, just be firm and count to 10 when she gets fiesty!
Ringsports post is good advice, channel anything she does at this age in a positive direction for later use.
