I have a friend who is in need of some gauntlets to go under his bite suit. The problem is he is allergic to neoprene. Anyone know where he can order some gauntlets that won't make him break out? Where can he order cloth or leather gauntlets that cover the full arm, biceps to wrist?
How allergic is your friend? Can he touch it at all? Or is breathing it enough to set him off? If he can at least handle neoprene with his hands, he can try wearing a long sleeve t-shirt so that the material doesn't touch his skin. Myself I'd probably opt for silk as opposed to cotton.
If he absolutely has to stay a city block away from rubber products. Hmmmmm, I'd be surprised if anyone is manufacturing anything but unatural materials. Have you tried contacting anyone that does make and market the products your looking for see what they say? If that's a dead end, I'd talk to the people who work with leather, custom coat makers, cobblers, harness makers, there's probably many others I haven't thought of but you get the idea. Anyways, I'd make up a sketch of how I'd want it designed ( material weight, size, etc); I'd have it lined myself, get together with my choosen taylor explain what I needed, show him my sketches, brain storm some ideas with the leatherman and have them custom made. I imagine the elbow would be the sticky point.
Good luck, hope this helps.
If my dog isn't learning, I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks for the suggestions I will definitely pass them along. He is very allergic and wearing a long sleeve t shirt does not protect him. I was hoping someone would know a website where he could see different kinds of gauntlets that he could choose from.
Just trying to help him out.
Thanks again
Terry
