Kacie and I met up yesterday so she could observe William. She said that he is definetly Crate agressive & he has certain spots that he claims around the house which he is protective over.
She has also recommended a wire muzzle so I will be protected. I need help ordering the proper size, if anyone can advise on how to size, please let me know.
I received my DVD's today from Leerburg, that is my next step to watch and learn a lot from them.
Kacie is going to be working with William and me so hopefully we can fix his issues.
Thanks for all you help.

I am not sure which one to order, the one with the neck strap only or the one with the straps between the ears.

The Leerburg muzzle sizing guide will give you a good start. The office staff are very helpful if you need it.
Edit:
I initially ordered the German Shepherd muzzle for Ivan (Giant Schnauzer) it was a totally funky fit. The next one (suggested by the leerburg staff, thank you!) was the male Pit muzzle with the strap between the ears; it fit perfectly.
Just this week Ivan somehow cut the between the ears strap. As a result I had to tighten the back strap quite a bit so it doesn't hang off his nose, and it still doesn't fit as well. So I vote for the between the ears strap, assuming that the muzzle fits right to start with.

Having him wear it on walks should help, since he'll be semi-distracted.
Somewhere I think I saw Ed had info on acclimitizing dogs to muzzles, but I can't for the life of me recall where it was... Maybe one of the Q&As?

Put treats in it so that he will put his nose in the muzzle to get them, do that for several days, then hold it on his nose for a second, take it off, treat and praise, repeat with gradually increasing time. When he is comfortable with it going on his face buckle it on for short periods of time. Praise him when he has it on and when it comes off. Correct him if he tries to get it off.
If you start with short sessions and lots of praise and treats he should do fine. If you also do something fun with him every time you put the muzzle on he won't object to you putting it on.
When you are fitting it pull out on the muzzle to make sure it won't come off his nose if he uses his feet to push on it.

BIG ditto here. Also, do not try to coddle or make the dog "feel" better if he seems unsure. In fact, the closer you are able to act as though this strange contraption is actually something that he has worn his whole life and therefore no big deal the better. Sympathy from humans is quite often viewed as WEAKNESS in humans by animals. Another thing is to not try and reassure or say it's "ok" when the dog objects to it. It will not make the dog understand that it's ok and nothing is wrong, it will actually make it seem like it's OK to be afraid of the muzzle.
Good luck with it!
