We have two GSD puppies, our male is 3 months old and we have had him since he was 8 weeks, our female is almost 3 months and we have had her for a little over a week. They are both beautiful dogs but when they are together, all they do is fight. I try not to have them out at the same time. They are usually two hours out and two hours in. Will they eventually calm down and get along?
Are you sure they are fighting and not playing rough? My 16 month old and 10 week old go at it like they were trying to kill each other, but they are playing. You would not believe how aggressive an 8 week old puppy can sound.
I guess they could be just playing, I am new to the whole puppy experience. I was not aware that they play that rough. If it is just playing, then I am a happy camper. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
IMHO, be careful not to let one pup beat up on the other one too much - could cause an inferiority complex in the 'loser' ....and as he grows up, lead to a 'bully' behavior (i.e. picking on little ones, such as puppies, smaller dogs, kids). Make sure your pups see you as the leader and protector. just my opinion, michelle
