I wonder if the Zimmerman in the article had recieved any guidance from the Zimmerman in this article about establishing another puppy mill kennel in Lancaster County, PA. http://www.puppiesarebiodegradable.com/explain.html
They both seem to advocate the same methods of disposing of 'excess livestock'.
Oh my word, this is definitley the worst I have read for awhile, how can this be allowed in a civilised country. I feel sick sick sick! We are living in a callous world, dogs cannot choose who owns them, they are abused and then this is what they get, not even a second chance to experience real love and attention what a rotten story.
I had no idea that it was legal in any state to shoot a dog (unless you feared for your life). What an appalling story...
It's legal in MO to shoot any dog that worries livestock, and a person can shoot their own dog as long as you are not in city limits. I imagine that it's legal in more states than you may know.
I'm glad the puppymill was shut down, but what an awful way to do it. Too bad the Zimmermans didn't give the dogs over to rescue, but thank goodness they didn't dispose of the dogs by clubbing them to death, or digging a big trench and burying them alive, which are both methods that have been used in MO puppymills to dispose of excess stock.
And I hate to say this, but the poor dogs are probably better off dead than alive and still in puppymill hell.
Too bad the Zimmermans didn't shoot each other, too.
