does leerburg carry this?
....i have a dog who has, for the....third....time in under a year managed to rid herself (yup, it's Teagan, i know, we'll all die of shock ) of her tags (all on differently and different collars in an attempt to make them less riddable). actually, this time, i don't know what happened to them....usually i can find them. i don't think she ate them (please no) but they've been officially missing for long enough that if she did, i don't think any harm was done. no blockages, but they haven't turned up either, if you know what i mean.
anyways....so i am looking for a tag that can be riveted onto a collar.
(it wouldn't display her animal control and rabies tag, but at least it would have her name/my number. she is microchipped.)
i don't see anything on the leerburg site.
does leerburg carry anything like this? if not, can anyone recommend somewhere that does?
Teagan!

Tattoos are equally as unremovable.
There is no rule that says you can't have her name and number tattooed on her thigh.

Most large SchH clubs will have a tattooist, or at least have an idea of who to contact ( I'm the tattooist for my club, for instance )
I got my tattoo kit from Leerburg in the early 1990's and it's still working great.

Well, in the mean time, until you get the dog tattooed, here is a site that has many different tags, and they are of decent quality.
Boomerang Tags
I liked the disclaimer (honesty) they give about the rivets that come with the tag. I appreciate that kind of seller, especially over the internet...
I like the brass, and linked to that page, but they have SS and plastic as well.
And think about one of these as well...

I swear by Boomerang tags. All my dogs have them and they hold up really well.

those tags look great....good to have a couple of good reviews, thanks i will measure our collars when i get home.
tattooing teagan would be a good idea, except i am a bit nervous about what if i change my number.
she is microchipped, so i'm sure if anything happened we would be reconnected, as long as whoever found her checked for the microchip! on the otherhand, she is, of all of my dogs, watched very closely with limited freedoms (not that the others aren't supervised, but you know what i mean) so i like to think the chances of her getting lost are minimal. but just in case....

You don't neccesarily have to use your phone number.
Use the number to a dog registry, for example, the company that produced your chip.
So, lets say Teagan has a chip from XYZ company, with a chip serial number of 12345, her tattoo could read:
80022XYZCO
12345

so logical
you know, that's actually not a bad idea to get done for all of the dogs....chips can migrate, after all. i've always wished there was some sort of tattoo registry for unregistered dogs....
now i need to find the paperwork from the shelter, they chipped her when i adopted her, and since the tag she was wearing had the chip number on it....will have to do dig up paperwork (which got shoved who knows where in the move in february). actually, the vet should have recorded it as well phew!
i was just thinking re: what will said. my FR trainer breeds....he may be able to tattoo. hmmm.
i think i will get the tags made up for now and then get the tattoos done as well. i hadn't thought of tattoo the chip number but it's a good idea.

My vet's phone number is also on my dogs' tags. It says "daytime number," and the tag came with that engraved on it with lots of room for more.
I don't know if this works for everyone, of course, but my vet practice (partners) has had the same number for decades.
