A friend of mine is considering purchasing a working Dobermann from this breeder. Wondering if anybody knows of them or heard of the dogs in their lines. Kindly PM me.
Of course, if these are indeed great dogs, I may want one in the future as well. :-)
If your friend wants a working dog Monaco is not the place to go. They need to get a puppy from someone that actually trains, and titles their dogs. I strongly believe that you cannot call yourself a breeder of working Dobermann's unless you do so. Unfortunately it can be hard to find a good breeder of working Dobes in North America.
I barely know of any good Doberman breeders in Europe. Sweden is supposed to have some nice working Dobermans. I am told that even Holland you won't find a "really good one," but you will find one with some effort that can work, albeit maybe not to a high level.
I assume the dog is for Schutzhund. If you want one for PPD then I wouldn't even look at the Doberman.
When I saw "Monaco" I was thinking the breeder was in Monaco, south of France, not the kennel name I was wondering why Steven was discounting an entire (although small) country for getting a working dog
now if you looking for good working dobie i would go with these bloodlines of the following sire's
JIVAGO Van Het Wantij
Bingo v Haus Astegg
Chico V Haus Astegg
falk v rotbachtal "old bloodline"
ali von langerhorst
Graaf Quirinus van Neerland Stam
Xico van het Wantij
Baron vom Lechtfeld
Castor von der Mooreich.
Granit von bayern
hargos van wantij
guys hilo von norden stam
Hertog Conan von Mannensheide
Bingo v. Ellendonk
Gero v.d. Mooreiche
C-Litter v.d. Mooreiche
A-Litter v.d. Weyermühle
