There is now a test for this horrible disease. you can access all info at offa.org. I believe it is about $65.00, DNA is checked from blood sample. My 14yr old gsd died from this and you do not want to be a witness to it. If you have questions about it I can tell you what I did for my shepherd and what the results were.
