His DVG club, Hondensport Ohio of Columbus, Ohio, sponsored the last two Flinks seminars in Ohio. He was the the club president and training director. His 'day job' was serving as a Franklin County (Ohio) deputy Sheriff. Sadly, he died in an accident while on duty early Saturday morning. His SUV hydroplaned on the wet pavement, hit a culvert and rolled over. He leaves his wife Jody and son Kyle. Tragically, Jody is currently battling advanced breast cancer. I only met Marty at last year's seminar. The event was held at the club's training field, aka, his front yard. He and Jody were a wonderful and gracious hosts. It's going to be tough on the youngster. I'm sure his family has plenty of support.
