I just thought I would give an update and testimonial.
Some of you will remember that My older RR was having severe gastro-intestinal issues. He had been very sick twice (enteritis), the second time at around 7 mo old. After he relapsed while recovering from his second illness (as soon as kibble was re-introduced) my husband was finally convinced we should try RAW. It has been 11 months and we are loving it. Leonidas hasn't had any more stomach issues. He is healthy as a horse.
I also got a puppy in June and put her straight on RAW at 10 weeks. I admit that was a little scary, but I re-read the puppy posts on here, and she did fine. She is almost 6 mo.old and gorgeous.
She has been to two weekends of shows (IABCA & UKC). At the first 4 shows she took best puppy and best in group twice. At one of the UKC shows she got Best Puppy in Show.
These are very exciting, but the real kicker for me is how all of the judges commented on how fantastic and shiny her coat is, and how well developed and muscular she is for her age. I blame it all on her RAW diet...
Thanks to this forum for getting the information about the benefits of RAW out there, and to every one here who has given me advice and support.
Thanks for the update. We hear about every case of diarrhea, but not all of the success stories.
I remember Leonidas's problems. Didn't you post a pic of him in the car on the way to the vet? It was so sad seeing that huge, hulking dog hanging his head like that...don't even want to think about that, though. Its awesome that he is doing good.
Good luck with the pup on the 22nd. Do let us know how it goes. She's a beaut.

Oh yes, I forgot that episode, but that wasn't illness, that was stupidity. He had swallowed fabric (most likely sock), and had a lot of pain. It passed safely thank goodness. I think (hope) he has grown out of that eating fabric stage... big dummy.
