in North Carolina with Senator Elizabeth Dole!
To find out more about her click here She's an amazing person, and has accomplished so much.
Back in August Ed did a one minute commercial for Senator Dole, because he has so much respect and admiration for her and the job she does in the Senate. She had no idea Ed was doing this, he just felt like helping her in any way he could. Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoHvPt7-p_4
All the hoopla about the barracks and the youtube video that Ed did has died down over the last few months so we were extremely surprised on Friday when Ed received a phone call from a member of Elizabeth Dole's staff.
They asked Ed if he would come to North Carolina and speak at a rally on Monday. Then they called back a few hours later and asked if he would mind coming to NC the next morning and would he mind riding on the campaign bus and going to all of her campaign stops with her until Tuesday or later?
So, Ed got on a plane yesterday morning and he just completed his first day on the campaign trail. He gave several speeches today ( 4 I think) and when he is done, he gets to introduce Senator Dole to the crowd. He said his speeches are going well, and that the people have been moved to tears. I don't know what he's saying but I guess it's really good. I sure wish I could be there.
I'm really proud of Ed and wanted you all to know what's going on. If you have emailed him recently, it may be a while before he has a chance to answer. Good thing he finished the Marker video last week!
I just received an update from Ed... the campaign manager has asked Ed to stay on for an undetermined length of time.
I guess he's doing really well and making an impact on the people of NC. I've gotten more than one email from folks saying that Ed should run for office.
