Hi John,
This is Mike. The guy who actually shot the video.
Unfortunetly many people on this board do not really understand what they are looking at in the video. If you want any info on PPD training you can communicate with me directly. I'm a member of the BBB and have been doing this full time for over ten years.
Never one complaint, a very good tract record for police, military, private security, and personal protection.
It is amusing to me how hobbists and amateurs pick apart a 7 month old dog that just started training. There is obviously things that dog needs to work on, but funny of no mention of what the dog does well. Do any of these people understand you only work with dogs of this age as a game?! That dog is two years old now, works with a police officer, flatens agitators, will bite well for real, AND has actual control where you don't have to scream at the dog, choke him, or point a remote control at him.
I see you are in New York. feel free to visit my club, i have a big following and stay in business for a reason.
Here's another video from the club of some older dogs - all pets with the clients doing all the handling and teaching themselves under my supervision. All three are neutered - one is from a pet store, one was a throw away rescue, and one was considered pet quality only by the breeder. These dogs were far from the ideal imported dogs most people like to work with and garauntee would have been turned away by many trainers. See for yourself what the dogs are doing and lets have fun to see how many negative comments the videos gets. Its actually amusing.

when you are working with a personal protection dog. Control has to be #1 or else the dog is just an accident waiting to happen.
When you actually train dogs that need to do security work in crowded places like the empire state building, federal building, retirement homes, hospitals, and busy family households this is important. Any novice can teach a dog a full mouth bite and how to hit hard if you have the right dog. but it is useless in the real world with out having control. that's why control comes first than the easy stuff comes secondary or at the same time if you have the time. The 7 month old pup was just finishing with his obedience program and we just started toying around with the protection to get him READY for the protection program.
Anyway, im rambling. Remember to keep an open mind when it comes to training and don't just take someone's words as fact just because they sound like they know what they are talking about - because some people truly believe they do know when they don't.
Research your trainer.
