Now I understand why "mack" has completely disappeared from my grocery shelves for the last few months...the inmates have it!
my thoughts exactly, we can rarely find enough mackerel to feed the dogs here anymore. We went several months without being able to find mackerel at any store in our area. We found some a couple weeks ago and bought it all.
Wow, I thought the humans in my area (yeah right where many people are still living in the 1920's and grew up eating fresh mackerel!) had lost interest in eating canned mack in my area and that was why it has been gone from the grocery store shelves, but it appears to be a national problem from what I'm reading here. I can catch my own mackerel in the summer right off the town pier and would have had I known that there would be such a lack of canned available.
