After reading several articles that firearms have been selling like hotcakes before the new bans get enacted, I was wondering if anyone wanted to brag about their new purchases?
We have plenty of fire power and now are just buying Ammo.
There is a 12 month wait period on "Black Guns" at our local store that sells rifles and shotguns.....
I am on my way to Christmas shop this weekend and Cabela's is an absolute stop for me.
Boy, I am jealous! 3 Kimbers! Whats up with the 12 month wait? Sounds fishy to me. The closest real outdoor shop for me is Bass Pro in Orlando.
I just bought a nice 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser for a song. I still have my AK47 (scoped, laser and folding stock) from the Y2K scare, and my Tech9 from the Clinton election. I just stocked up on 1000 rds of 45acp and 500 rnds each of 12 gauge slugs and buckshot...along with another 1000 rds of .223 soft points.
Being a reloader is not even safe...Nobama wants to tax 500% on ammunition and components so I have enough to load 1000 rds for every caliber I own except for a few hunting rifles.
A lot of people would be scared of my so called "arsenal",but real gun people would think its still not enough. Time to re-think the covert storage as well.

Yeah, Kimbers are my favorite...I got Doug one for Christmas last year and after I fired it, I was hooked on the rifles. I LOVE my .45
I will end up giving Dad one of them for Christmas I am sure. But, if we end up not being able to buy guns, I want to make sure we have them.
Our "arsenal" is fairly large and I am really going to try NOT to buy anymore this weekend. LOL
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
I went and picked up an AR-10T in 7.62 NATO with a 24" match barrel today ( I had looked at it about three weeks ago but held off until I saw the results of ther election ).
I was actually lucky to get it, as the store had sold a ton of their inventory since the election.
They had 12 M1A's back then, they were gone today. Two full racks of AR15's....al empty today.
Every AK variation that they had stocked.....sold.
And this is a *BIG* gunstore.
You could easy outfit an reinforced Infantry Platoon with the weapons that they sold in the past few weeks.
Jennifer, the 2nd amendment of the U.S. Constitution reads:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
To buy a gun from a gun store you have to pass a background check (felons are not permitted to own guns), otherwise permits and licenses are local matters. Where I live there is no requirement to have a permit to own a gun. A permit is required to carry a concealed weapon, but Washington is a "must issue" state, meaning that certain stringent requirements must be met before you can be denied a permit.
